One of the Most Anticipated Sequels in the MCU Has Finally Dropped Its Teaser

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever makes waves after dropping its first trailer at the San Diego Comic-Con 2022, giving fans a first-hand experience of a deeper exploration of the world of Wakanda, after four years since its last groundbreaking premiere. Since the tragic loss of the first Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman back in 2020, fans have been left wondering on how MCU would be able to pull off its sequel, as to who would be worthy enough to take on the mantle as the ruler of Wakanda, and how MCU would be able to pay an honorable tribute to the late actor. As announced by Kevin Feige during the event, the second Black Panther film will be the endgame of Marvel’s phase four, introducing characters that are bound to play a huge part in the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Ryan Coogler returns as the director and writer of one of the most awaited sequels, sharing that the film would delve deeper into the world of Wakanda, showcasing more of its characters and culture while introducing Namor, the Submariner, portrayed by Tenoch Huerta, a half-atlantean and half-mutant ruler.

The Submariner’s debut on screen will pave the way for MCU to introduce other mutants, since Kamala (Iman Vellani) from the Ms. Marvel series, has been recently revealed as a mutant. Riri Williams, played by Dominique Thorne, teases fans in the trailer as the hero Ironheart, the creator of an advanced suit of armor with futuristic technology similar to Ironman. This would mark the first appearance of Ironheart before the upcoming Disney+ Ironheart series. Most of the original cast will be reprising their roles, including Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, and Martin Freeman.

After the surprising release of the first trailer, countless fans have theorized that Dr. Doom would be the catalyst of the film’s plot, forming a team to search for a version of Vibranium, an alien metal, underwater which causes to disturb the Atlanteans, ultimately leading Namor, the Submariner to cross paths with the Wakandians. This speculation seems to be the most plausible, but it is yet to remain seen. Coogler and Nyong’o have shared that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is profoundly personal, as Chadwick Boseman has left a significant legacy in the franchise. The cast and crew members have deeply committed themselves in the making of this film to carry on the memory of the great king T’Challa. Wakanda Forever.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to release in theaters on the 11th of November 2022.
